Worship and Divine communion
Worship comes in many forms, but the most essential is Divine communion. Every child of God yearns for direct mystical contact with the Divine Parent. In fact, no experience of spirituality can fully satisfy any soul WITHOUT the direct experience of God. Promises of faith salvation, intellectual knowledge of truth, exhaustive effort in humanity service, rigorous self-discipline, religious ritual -- even the greatest riches and pleasures the world has to offer -- none of these replace our need for living EXPERIENCE of God's presence.
Should we abandon ordinary life, and head for mountain caves of mystic seclusion? There may be a time for dropping out and tuning in, but for most of us, quality time is best grabbed in small chunks, interspersed in a well-rounded spiritual life lived under ordinary conditions. And that is wonderful!

Surrender to God's will
As we grow spiritually, we improve in surrender to the Divine will. But the evolution into Godliness does not lead to boring standardization. Rather, the progressive surrender of more and more individuals to the will of God swells the ranks of an infinitely VARIED chorus. And likewise, the guidance God provides is infinitely varied.
The self that you are is absolutely and eternally unique, and so is your expression. But, the self you ARE also happens to be a child of God. Therefore, until you FUNCTION as a loving and obedient child of God, you are not fully being YOURSELF. So you see, being yourself requires BOTH self-expression AND self-surrender. Then, by means of spirit direction, both your universality and your uniqueness find their ultimate value and usefulness.

Inner guidance and obedience
The still small voice requests YOUR help to heal the world -- with love. And Heaven knows, all the human motivation and understanding in the world cannot make love work. REAL love is God working through us.
Only the inspirations provided by Divine prompting can guide us to love in ways that are perfectly touching, tender, timely, and effective. Fortunately, we all FEEL those inspirations, frequently.
